SIM hijacking campaign against T-Mobile customers

Several users of T-mobile were informed by the company that their personal information has been exposed due to a vulnerability in a company’s websites discovered during first week of October. The vulnerability was immediately fixed after being noticed but it was already too late as the details were accessed by hackers. These hackers are now targeting T-mobile customers by hijacking or swapping their SIM cards to gain access to accounts linked to these phone numbers. This is also threatening as the hackers can bypass two-factor authentication for victim’s accounts for which the hackers have already gained the credentials.
